ANNOUNCEMENTS

ADORATION

INTROIT “The Lord is My Light”

*CALL TO WORSHIP

ONE: Great is the mystery of the faith:

PEOPLE: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

ONE: Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?

PEOPLE: The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

ONE: Christ is risen!

PEOPLE: He is risen, indeed! Alleluia!

PRAYER OF THE DAY

Eternal God

Through your only Son you overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life. Grant that we who celebrate our Lord’s resurrection, may, through the renewing power of your Spirit, arise from the death of sin to life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

✝HYMN[Blue#108] “Christ Is Alive!”

REPENTANCE

*CALL TO CONFESSION

 SILENT CONFESSION

 PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Merciful Lord, the strength of those who believe. And the hope of those who doubt: We confess that our faith is small, that we trust in our own devices more than in your gracious promises to sustain us. Lord, increase our faith; quicken us amidst our unbelief.

By Your Spirit grant us, who have not seen, yet seek to believe, the faith to receive the fullness of Christ’s blessings. Work in us and through us by the same Spirit that raised him from the dead, to your honor and glory.

*ASSURANCE OF PARDON

✝GLORIA PATRI [Blue#579[ [GTG581]

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,

and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning,

is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, amen.

 RESPONSE

✝AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Apostle’s Creed

I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,  and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

RECEIVING OF TITHES AND OFFERINGS

PRAYER OF DEDICATION

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

RESPONSE “Hear Our Prayer O Lord”

✝HYMN[BLUE#526] “For All the Saints”

✝PARTING PRAYER

Holy One

you have given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Sustain us in times of trial, that our faith may be found in praise and honor to you. Though we have not seen you, help us to follow you; though we do not now see you, help us to believe and rejoice with unshakable joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
